Mitchell Schank has been named head varsity girls track and field coach for Carlisle Community Schools, pending board approval. Schank has served as assistant track and field coach for the Wildcats since 2018 and was also an assistant cross country coach this past fall. He is currently a high school science teacher in the district.
“I am excited to continue to push this well-built program forward,” said Schank, a 2018 Drake University graduate. “I care about Carlisle students and look forward to continuing this culture of success.”
“We are excited Mitchell will be our next head girls track coach,” said Carlisle Activities Director Darin Schreck. “Coach Schank does an excellent job of building relationships with students and knows what it takes to be successful. I am confident he will fit into our staff and help us continue in the right direction.”
