The Norwalk boys basketball team cruised to a 71-43 victory over Sioux City West to move to the third round of postseason play, one game away from a berth at the boys State basketball tournament.
Redeck Born led the Warriors with 31 points Friday in Norwalk while Jack Brown scored 12 and Braeden Carlson and Jack Larson added 10 each.

The Warriors, who had a first-round bye, took an early lead Friday, going up 17-7 at the end of the first quarter, then holding the Wolverines to just 17 points in the first half. Â The Wolverines never threatened, down 54-31 at the end of the third quarter and the Warriors dominated for the win.
Born had six 3-pointers in the game and made seven free throws. The Warriors missed just three from the charity stripe all night.
The Warriors will travel to Denison on Tuesday to meet Sioux City East. The 21-2 Black Raiders squeezed by Johnston Friday with a 63-60 win.
