A vehicle driven by Timothy Jones, 38, of Indianola, collided with a vehicle owned by Jane Russell, 54, of Indianola, in the HyVee parking lot. Estimated damages: $10.00 to Russell's vehicle; $1,000.00 to Jones’s vehicle. Jones was cited for failure to provide insurance-accident related.

A vehicle driven by Ian Ackerson, 19, of Indianola, struck a cement pole in the Walmart parking lot in the 1500 block of North Jefferson Way. Estimated damages: $8,000.00 to Ackerson's vehicle, and $300.00 to Walmart's pole.

Vehicles driven by Harriet Kemp, 60, of Indianola; Bryan Labertew, 42, of Indianola; and Andrew Furnal, 32, of Indianola, collided in the 2200 block of North Jefferson Way. Estimated damages: $10,000.00 to Kemp's vehicle, $5,000.00 to Labertew's vehicle, and $5,000.00 to Furnal's vehicle. Kemp was cited for fail to yield upon left turn.

Mark Alan West, 50, of Oskaloosa, was cited and released in the 1200 block of East Second Avenue on the charges of possession of marijuana 1st and possession of drug paraphernalia.

An incident of violation of a no contact order was reported in the 300 block of South J Street.

Sunday, August 15, 2021 

Joshua Thomas McDonald, 23, of Indianola, was cited and released in the 1800 block of West Second Avenue on the charges of possession of a controlled substance - marijuana 1st offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Vehicles driven by Donna Candee, 84, and Logan King, 23, both of Indianola, collided in the 100 block of East Salem Avenue parking lot. Estimated damages: $2,000.00 to Candee's vehicle; $100.00 to King's vehicle.

Brett Miller, of Indianola, reported an incident of theft 5th in the 500 block of North Jefferson Way.

Javier Barron, 26, of Clive, was taken into custody in West Des Moines on a valid Indianola Police Department warrant for criminal mischief 2nd.

Tuesday, August 17, 2021 

Robert Raymond Sullivan, 56, of Pleasant Hill, was arrested at the Polk County Jail in Des Moines on a valid Indianola Police Department arrest warrant on the original charge of criminal mischief 4th degree.

Sergio Victoria Aguilar, 45, of Ottumwa, was arrested in Polk County on a valid arrest warrant filed by the Indianola Police Department on the charge of possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine 1st offense.

An incident of fraudulent practice 1st was reported in the 2700 block of North Jefferson Way.

Vehicles driven by Courtney Scovel, 26, of Ankeny, and Shana Leeps, 31, of Osceola, collided in the 600 block of North Jefferson Way. Estimated damages: $4,000.00 to Scovel's vehicle; $1,000.00 to Leeps' vehicle. Scovel was cited for following too close.

Courtni Hedeen, of Indianola, reported an incident of theft 5th in the 400 block of South Third Street.

An incident of harassment 1st was reported in the 400 block of South Fifteenth Street.

An incident of simple assault was reported in the 2000 ---block of West Fourth Avenue.

Thursday, August 19, 2021 

Steven Joseph Bratti, 40, of Indianola, was arrested in the 1500 block of North Ninth Street on the charge of domestic abuse assault 2nd offense.

Indianola Parks and Recreation reported an incident of criminal mischief 5th in the 600 block of North G Street.

Saturday, August 21, 2021

Chase Albert Dickman, 26, of Chariton, was arrested in the 1100 block of East Second Avenue on the charges of OWI 3rd offense, driving while barred and insufficient number of headlights.

Noel Hubert Conrad, 34, of Indianola, was cited and released in the 9000 block of Hwy 65/69 on the charge of driving while license denied or revoked.
