I have been reflecting a lot lately. I suppose it comes with getting to retirement age and the later portions of one’s life. It makes me appreciate the conversations I had with my grandparents, parents and others who have gone before me.
I really enjoyed this article, Steve. I, too, grew up in a neighborhood full of kids who enjoyed spending free time together. We didn’t have a ball field but lots of games of tag, kick the can, red rover, anty-anty over and other made up games. Your article brought back great memories! Thanks
Loved reading this as this was my childhood neighborhood too and I also have great memories of Dayton Park and the Nativity Scene....thanks for sharing
