I intend to vote for Pam Pepper for Mayor in the March 2 Indianola Special Election. Here’s why. I know Pam well. We worked together at Simpson College where I watched her grow and develop into a very hard working and outstanding College Advancement Officer. In those fundraising duties she worked closely with the Indianola community allowing her to know and be known by our citizens and to build relationships and trust with us. She is intelligent, well-spoken and highly educated. In fact, she holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. She served twelve years on the Indianola Planning and Zoning Commission, then seven years on the City Council, then was selected unanimously by the Council to assume the Mayor’s duties so she obviously works well with those at City Hall.
