Last year I was driving from my Air BnB in Coralville to the University of Iowa baseball field when I hit a traffic jam. Now baseball doesn’t usually attract those kinds of crowds, so it took a while for me to understand that I was inching along Hawkins Drive in Iowa City because of the flood of celebrating seniors in caps and gowns and their pleased and proud parents streaming into Carver Hawkeye arena for commencement.
