I watched Joe Biden take an extreme position on climate change the other day, in preparation for the Democrat’s National Convention. He stated, “Science requires a timetable for measuring progress on climate that isn’t three decades or even two. Science tells us that we have nine years before the damage is irreversible.”

Sen. Garrett's points about climate change extremism are on target.

In July 2019, Finnish scientists published a study showing that: "Because the anthropogenic [human caused'] portion in the increased CO2 is less than 10 %, we have practically no anthropogenic climate change." '

In October 2019, 500 scientists and professionals signed the European Climate Declaration which stated: One: “The world has warmed at less than half the originally predicted rate, and at less than half the rate to be expected on the basis of net anthropogenic forcing and radiative imbalance. It tells us that we are far from understanding climate change.”

Two: “Climate models have many shortcomings and are not remotely plausible as policy tools. Moreover, they most likely exaggerate the effect of greenhouse gases such as CO2. In addition, they ignore the fact that enriching the atmosphere with CO2 is beneficial.”

Three: “There is no climate emergency. Therefore, there is no cause for panic and alarm. We strongly oppose the harmful and unrealistic net-zero CO2 policy proposed for 2050. If better approaches emerge, we will have ample time to reflect and adapt. The aim of international policy should be to provide reliable and affordable energy at all times, and throughout the world.”

In January 2020, environmentalist and progressive Michael Shellenberger issued the following apology in Forbes, which subsequently censored it as it was not politically correct:

"On behalf of environmentalists everywhere, I would like to formally apologise for the climate scare we created over the past 30 years. Climate change is happening. It’s just not the end of the world. It’s not even our most serious environmental problem."

With respect to the Green New Deal, Alexandra Ocasio Cortez's top aide admiited it was not intended to address climate change, but was a “how-do-you-change-the-entire economy thing."

Seems unresponsible to not take scientist's findings into account when trying to understand climate change.
