The Carlisle Police Department announced Monday an arrest in a September bomb threat called into the Dollar General Store in Carlisle.

According to a news release, Tom Alan Oliver, 37 of Carlisle, was arrested Jan. 8, on an arrest warrant for false reports of an explosive or incendiary device. In addition, the release said, the Department issued an arrest warrant for Crystal Renee McCullough, 39, of Carlisle, for false reports of an explosive or incendiary device. Anyone with information as to McCullough’s whereabouts, should contact the Carlisle Police Department at 515-989-4121.

The Carlisle Police Department said in the release that it would like to thank the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, the Warren County Attorney’s Office, the Carlisle Fire Department and the Warren County Communications Center for their assistance with the investigation. The release also noted that a criminal charge is merely an accusation and a defendant or suspect is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
