Indianola school administration building

A positive assessment of the Indianola school district’s use of the Indians nickname could turn what has been a divisive debate over changing the nickname into a unifying opportunity, said Rob Keller, president of the Indianola School Board during a board work session Monday.

The School Board needs to take a much closer look at the NAGA group. They are quite controversial and have supported the continued use of “Redmen” for athletic names. I would hope the school board considers other points of view before making curriculum changes and retaining the current “Indians”name for our athletic teams
