The Indianola Noon Lions will celebrate its 90th anniversary with a very unique "New England Style" meat raffle at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, at the St. Thomas Aquinas Pastoral Center.

The public is invited but tickets must be purchased in advance for $13. Call Tom Charlton at (563) 299-9451 for tickets, which include a buffet from Pizza Ranch with fried chicken, mashed potatoes and salad.

Unlike other meat raffles where one person might win a quarter of beef or a half of hog, we will have many winners.

People can buy as many $1 tickets as they like each for 12 individual rounds. In each round we will spin the wheel for three winners of various cuts of beef, pork, poultry or seafood. Each ticket has three numbers, so you could win three times on just one ticket!

That will be followed by the Lightning Round, with $10 tickets and more than 100 items waiting to be won. You might win multiple time in this round with just one ticket.

All tickets for all rounds have three chances to win!

There will also be a 50/50 raffle and a lot of great baskets for you to buy tickets to win - balloon rides, Kirk Ferentz-autographed football, automotive services, pies from the Crouse Cafe, a deer shoulder mount and much more.

Bring a cooler for your winnings and lots of single dollar bills.

This fundraiser will enable the Noon Lions to continue their support of their traditional projects like eye care and hearing assistance plus special funding for dozens of local organizations: scholarships, Habitat for Humanity, scouting, Leader Dog, WeLift, the Helping Hand Food Pantry, Indianola Hope child abuse protection... just to name a few.

Special offer: Buy seven tickets and get an eighth ticket free. That gets you a reserved table for your group.

Get ready to have some fun, support a great cause, and maybe win a bunch of meat!
