For those who like to go fast, some race on dirt, some race on rubber or asphalt and some race cross country. Championship racer Rich Krier races on water. Krier packs his boats in his travel trailer which doubles as his garage on his road trips. He displays his Italian racing engines loaded with the tuned exhaust pipes.

By the time most people reach their 70s, they slow down a little.

Rich Krier of Indianola has been racing outboard boats for 62 years. The awards, metals and plaques keep on coming including one of his most important George H. Townsend Medal, awarded to the season points leader in PRO classes raced; and Colonel Green Round Hill Trophy awarded to the season point leader in the Pro Racing Outboard Category.
