Indianola council members John Parker, Heather Hulen, Bob Kling and Greta Southall consider their priorities during a strategic planning retreat on Saturday.

When the draft of a new strategic plan for the city of Indianola comes before the council in March, it will include four goals that will be the city’s primary focus for the next couple of years — revamping the city’s zoning codes, planning for what should happen with the city’s facilities, completing studies of streets and storm sewers and the downtown streetscape.

The Indianola City Council considered a long list of items it wants to accomplish over the next few years. The list will become part of a strategic plan that the council worked on during a strategic planning retreat on Saturday.

Oldie but goodie

I am excited about the meeting that was held, the airing of past sentiments and the answer to “why we are here”. Congratulations to you all for what sounds like a workable springboard.
