Combine a 100-year-old golf course with 100-year-old clubs and a group of golfers who are under 100 and you get what Dr. Mike Hipps of Des Moines called “a blast.”

Indianola Golf and Country Club is celebrating its 100th birthday. Local golfers helped celebrate Monday by golfing the old way with old-style golf clothing and old-style golf clubs. Even in the old times, it was nice to have a friend to help find a lost ball.
