Joe Westlake, president of Indianola's FFA chapter, said he grew up without a connection to agriculture, but his involvement with FFA has led him to pursue a career in the field.

Farming has a reputation for requiring tenacity. Indianola’s FFA (Future Farmers of America) showed their fair share during a regular meeting of the Indianola School Board on April 8.
