Norwalk 1 and 3

Norwalk precinct 3 voters will cast ballots at St. John's Catholic Church Nov. 2. 

ACKWORTH

In Ackworth, there is a mayoral race, but no one put in a nomination. It will be strictly a write-in election. Mayor Richard Benge is not seeking re-election.

Walter P. Walker and James J. Kingkade Jr. are running for city council. It’s a vote for three, but only those two candidates are running. Both men are incumbents. The city council member not running is Archie Byers.

CARLISLE

There is a mayoral race in Carlisle. Incumbent Drew Merrifield is running unopposed.

For city council, there are four candidates and you may vote for two. Douglas D. Hammerand is an incumbent, running against Shane Howard, Alma Coon and Krista Beck. Eric Goodhue is not seeking re-election.

CUMMING

Cumming will have a mayor’s race. Brent Highfill is the only name on the ballot. He is not an incumbent. Thomas Becker is not seeking re-election.

Four people are running for city council. It is a vote for two. Larry Goode and Charles M. Ochanpaugh are the incumbents, running against Josh Giesemann and Garth Swisher.

HARTFORD

In Hartford, Mayor Kandi S. Petry is running for re-election, unopposed. Rhonda Lanphier and Haldean Byerly Wilson are running for council, and are incumbents.

INDIANOLA

In Indianola, Pamela Pepper is running for re-election as mayor, and her opponent is Stephanie Erickson.

For council at-large seats, candidates are Randy Bickham and Steve Richardson. Office holder Greg Marchant is not seeking re-election. For council Ward 2, Ron Dalby and Bob Kling are running. Kling is the incumbent. For council Ward 4, Christina Beach and Rod McKelvey are running. Incumbent Greta Southall is not seeking re-election.

LACONA

In Lacona, there is a mayoral race, but no one put in a nomination. It will be strictly a write-in election. Mayor Paul Butler is not seeking re-election.

Robert M. Myers is running for city council. He is an incumbent. It’s a vote for two. Council member Galen Kauzlarich is not running for re-election.

MARTENSDALE

In Martensdale, there is a mayoral race, but no one put in a nomination. It will be strictly a write-in election. Mayor Brad Prichard is not running for re-election.

For the council race, it is a vote for three. However, only two people are running, incumbents Travis Berger and Scott Henson. Ryan Baker is not seeking re-election.

MILO

In Milo, the city council race is a vote for three. Erica Wadle, Joe Kinser and Josiah Taylor are the incumbents, facing off against William C. Hembry and Eric Rasmassen.

NEW VIRGINIA

New Virginia will have a mayor’s race. Norville L. Huston is the incumbent, and Dylan Bragg is the opponent.

For council, it is a vote for two. Justin W. Strange and Jarad Taylor are running. Strange is the incumbent. Jake Zuercher is not running for re-election.

NORWALK

Norwalk will have a mayor’s race. Tom Phillips is the incumbent, running against Dante Powell.

Jaki Livingston and Brian Baker are incumbents running for city council. It is a vote for two.

SANDYVILLE

In Sandyville, there is a mayoral race, but no one put in a nomination. There is a council race, and a vote for five. No one put in any nominations. It will be strictly a write-in election.

The current mayor of Sandyville is Bob Martindale and he is not seeking re-election. The five city council members not running again are: Jennifer Kennedy, Teresa Jones, Paul Burrows, Chuck Money and Sandy Geyer.

SPRING HILL

In Spring Hill, Brett Sherer is a council member, now running for mayor. The current mayor is Larry Anthony, who is vying for a spot on the city council.

Marko Magazinovic is running for treasurer. He is the incumbent, running unopposed.

For city council, it’s a vote for five. The incumbents are Dory Anthony and Brandon Charlton. Other candidates are Larry Anthony, John Housman, Nicole Housman and Brian Sherer.

ST. MARYS

In St. Marys, there is a mayoral race. Chuck Gehringer is running unopposed. Current mayor Ryan Gray is not seeking re-election.

Three people are running for city council: Gary L. Sink, Tina Gehringer-Minor and Scott Day. They are all incumbents. It is a vote for three.
