Vote Early IMG_8448.jpg

On Nov. 2, voters will cast their ballots for races across Warren County, including school board, city council and mayor.

“Every race will have a write-in no matter how many people are running,” Warren County Election Clerk Kim Sheets said. “If it’s a vote for one, they’ll be one line; if it’s a vote for two, they’ll be two lines for a write-in.”

People may vote in advance of Election Day.

You may vote early in person at the Warren County Auditor’s Office (auditorium), 301 N. Buxton St., Indianola. The last day to request an absentee ballot was  Oct. 18.

All absentee ballots must be returned to the auditor’s office by 8 p.m. on election night, Tuesday, Nov. 2, when the polls close. Postmarks on your ballot will no longer be considered, so allow for plenty of time to mail or drop off your ballot. Also, ballots received after Election Day will not be counted.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. Visit the Warren County Auditor’s website or the Iowa Secretary of State’s website to view your polling location.

If you have questions about polling, reach out to Warren County auditor Traci VanderLinden at 515-961-1020 and auditor@warrencountyia.org.

Voters in Lincoln 1 vote with residents of Indianola districts 5 and 6 at the Masonic Hall, 1606 Hwy. 92, Indianola. Residents of Indianola Ward 3 vote there as well. This story has been updated to include that information.

I see Lincoln 2 listed for polling places, but not Lincoln 1, where we live.
