Mark Putney visited one of his soybean fields as friends worked to harvest his beans. Putney said he is grateful for the generosity of those who pitched in Sunday and throughout the week to bring in his crops after he was injured in an ATV accident.

Usually, Mark Putney is helping others.

This is Iowa agriculture at it's finest. I remember my dad and neighbors doing the same thing for someone who needed it over sixty years ago and the tradition has never stopped. It is doing what Iowans do best. Being kind to each other. Mark is a fine young farmer, ambitious and extremely generous. So are all who pitched in on this situation. Kudos to Ted and Val Diehl for helping take care of the entire crew. I love Warren County!

Iowa us such a great place to live and I'm fortunate to live here among such great people. Put Mark Putney at the top of that list. Mend well and soon, Mark!
