Southeast Warren earned a 60-12 win over intercounty rival Martensdale-St. Marys Friday.
The Warhawks got all the scoring they would need in the first quarter, going up 16-0, but then added 30 more in the second quarter to take a 46-0 lead into the locker room at half. The Warhawks scored again in the third before M-St. M was able to answer with a pair of scores in the fourth quarter. But SEW added another 8 points in the quarter for the 60-12 win.
SEW’s Landon Harvey ran for 32 yards and three touchdowns on the night, completing one of two passes for 21 yards. Trey Fisher scored twice, rushing for 127 yards on 19 carries.
M-St. M’s Cooper Oberbroeckling connected with Riley Nichols for both of the Blue Devil’s scores, completing 12 of 23 passes for 200 yards. Nichols had nine receptions for 172 yards and two touchdowns. Kade Mullins led the Blue Devils in rushing, running 13 times for 32 yards.
M-St. M will return to Blue Devil stadium next Friday to face Lamoni and then will be back home Sept. 23 to face Murray for Homecoming.
The Warhawks, now 3-1 on the season, will travel to Seymour next week before going home for Homecoming on Sept. 23 against Montezuma.

Southeast Warren football team owned three quarters of the game with a 52-0 lead. Martensdale St. Marys earned 12 points in the final quarter leading to a 60-12 win for SEW in Lacona Friday. MstM's Travis White reaches to hold back SEW's Landon Harvey as he reaches for a few more inches of gain on his run.
