While doses from the 1,000-shot COVID-19 vaccine clinic held in Indianola Wednesday weren’t yet showing in state reports, more than 25,000 shots have been given to Warren County residents so far, according to the Iowa Department of Public Health.

IDPH reported that county residents received 397 shots on Wednesday and a total of 25,398 vaccines so far.

According to the site, 9,516 residents have received both doses of the two-dose regimen, while 253 people have received the single shot vaccine. The state of Iowa has given 1,707,446 shots so far, according to the state.

In the meantime, Warren County Health Services’ zip code specific map of COVID cases showed that the county had added 20 new cases since Monday. The map was not updated on Tuesday.

The 50125/Indianola zip code added nine cases while the 50211/Norwalk zip code added eight. The 50210/New Virginia zip code added two cases while the 50320/Des Moines and 50061/Cumming zip codes added one each. The 50166/Milo zip code declined by one, going from 135 cases since the pandemic began to 134, according to the county site.

The 50125 zip code has now had 2,094 cases of the virus for the most cases in the county, followed by the 50211 zip code with 1,553, according to the county site.
