Warren County gained 57 new cases of the COVID-19 virus on Wednesday, with the 14-day positivity rate reaching 17.4.
The county now has had 1,857 cases of the virus since the pandemic began.
The county had a 14-day positivity rate of 17.4 percent on Wednesday an increase from 16.4 percent on Tuesday.
No details on where those cases reside was available Wednesday due to the Veterans Day holiday.
Simpson College reported an additional nine cases on Wednesday, moving to a total of 11 cases this week. The additional cases come after the college had 28 new positive cases last week.
The school now has 32 currently active cases with 89 students in quarantine on and off campus.
Classes on campus at scheduled to end Tuesday, Nov. 24, and residence halls close on Nov. 25 and students head home for Thanksgiving. They’ll finish the semester there before returning to Simpson around Jan. 17.
