Residence Life at Simpson College is hosting Safe Block on Thursday, October 31, 2019! For those who are new to Safe Block, it is an event that provides a safe place for children to go trick-or-treating in our residence halls and college-owned Greek houses. This event is a highlight of the semester for our students. Students decorate their residence hall floors, wear costumes, and hand out candy. We invite you to come and participate in this fun event!

Safe Block will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Tours will be ongoing throughout the evening, so while there is a 6:00pm start time, please arrive when it is convenient for you and your family. Please note that the last tour will leave Kent at roughly 7:30 pm. Meet in the Kent Campus Center atrium located on the main level of the facility. We will have several activities and treats to entertain them while they wait for their tours. Tours are led by Simpson College students. While all the tours have leaders, parents and guardians are welcome and required to accompany the kids.

In order to plan appropriately for this event, we need to have parents and guardians register their children in advance if possible. Please complete this form once for each child that plans to attend the event.

You can contact Tayler Keitzer, Assistant Director of Residence Life at or 515-961-1739 with any questions regarding the event.
