Indianola Artist Bob Kling will exhibit, “Pandemic Blossoms,” a year-long series of paintings from his garden during a pandemic, at Simpson College Farnham Galleries, from Feb. 19 – April 25.

Kling began this series in January of last year by painting from photos of his flower and vegetable gardens from the previous year. When the pandemic hit, Kling spent the time working in his gardens and creating paintings of the flower and vegetables and continued throughout the winter working from hundreds of photos taken specifically for paintings. A year later, he has produced 21 paintings and the series continues.

Kling is an adjunct professor at Simpson College and a College Supervisor for Student Teachers for Graceland University.

Farnham Galleries are located on the third floor of Mary Berry Hall on the Simpson College Campus. Hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. – 4:40 p.m. or by special arrangement.
